Forgiveness

As I opened up my gratitude journal to put in my morning entries, the quote at the top by Marilyn Monroe stated:

"I don't forgive people because I am weak, I forgive them because I am strong enough to know people make mistakes."

Powerful words for sure. It reminded me of the lesson on forgiveness in the Transformation Tables that is part of the Change Your World intitiative by John Maxwell. John starts the lesson off with a quote by Lewis B. Smedes:

"To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you."

Practicing the art of forgiveness will lead you to a free life full of peace and joy. When you don't forgive, which ultimately leads to resentment, it is like you drinking rat poison, hoping that it will kill the other person. When it (lack of forgiveness) is really only going to kill you. Lack of forgiveness takes a toll on your body. Your body is keeping score. Your joy, peace and overall happiness is effected.

In the forgiveness lesson, we are asked to take three steps to forgiveness:

  1. Forgive others.

  2. Ask for forgiveness.

  3. Forgive yourself.

What I would recommend today is that you join a Transformation Table Group. I promise you they are life-changing. Many people tell me they are the best free therapy they could ever ask for. They are FREE. They only take ONE HOUR a week, by Zoom for six weeks. You don't even have to get dressed. And there is NO HOMEWORK. There is no excuse...but I guarantee the reward will be powerful.

To join a Transformation Table Group today, go to this link. If you want to start your own table, you can do that too! Go to changeyourworld.com.
