Have you ever made an assumption that makes an “A** out of you an me?” I sure have!
I was listening to an audio book by Liz Wiseman called multipliers. In the book, she talks about the ability to live with the attitude of “assuming positive intent.” As I reflected on that, it reminded me of how often I can be skeptical about someone’s intentions, versus assuming positive intent.
What a difference it would make if we all looked at things assuming the person approached each situation/interaction with positive intent. I believe it would change our world for sure. There are so many misunderstandings just based on what our assumptions around someone’s actions are!
For me, today, I am going to challenge myself to look at everything through the eyes of “assuming positive intent.” I would love to hear about how this difference in perspective impacts you this week. Keep me posted!
Hopefully this stops making an “A** out of you and me!”
