Emotionally Stable & Consistently Content

How many of us can wake up saying we are emotionally stable and consistently content each and every day? Not many, I am sure. It is hard.

Sometimes, we let the pressures of our circumstances dictate our level of emotional stability and consistency. It is so easy to toss away the non-negotiables in our lives because we get overwhelmed, tired, too busy, and, yes, even just plain selfish.

What is it in your life that you need to do to feel stability and contentment each day? For me, I have some basic things that help me. And, when I do them, not much can throw me off balance, but when I don't...anything is fair game to take my peace.

For me, these are my basics each morning and night:

Morning Routine:

  • No snoozing

  • Walk 5,000 steps and HIIT or Pilates before breakfast

  • 60 minutes with God

  • Complete my morning gratitude journal.

Evening Routine:

  • Prep my daily reporting.

  • Complete my evening gratitude journal.

  • Write and submit my "Big 3" for the next day.

  • Do prayers.

What are your non-negotiables each day? How can you ensure a solid footing when the winds blow and attempt to knock you over?

And, when you fall, all you have to do is get up and try again. Whatever you do, don't stop trying. Each day is a new day, and you can claim victory over it, no matter your circumstances.
