Forgiveness, but How?

I have talked with many people throughout the years that struggle immensely over past hurts, never moving on, just remembering the hurts of the past.

It breaks my heart to see them struggling so much, when I know there is an answer. Forgiveness.

I remember reading in various books that resentment only hurts you. Others have moved on with their lives, and you are left behind dwelling on the past. This is so true for anything/anyone that you need to let go of and forgive. You are only hurting yourself. The teaching today in the Open Doors devotional by Rick Warren describes this perfectly. (Please email me and I will send you the devotional www.up2Him.com)

I loved the steps Rick outlines to forgive. But more over, I love the scripture referenced, Ephesians 4:32.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ Jesus forgave you.

Just think of the peace you would have if TODAY, you just forgave those who have sinned against you. After all, we are forgiven, shouldn't we forgive?
