I saw this quote in my Five Minute Gratitude Journal today and thought, "Wow, isn't that the truth?"
Each day, we either go into our day with no plan at all or decide in advance how we will act. But do we ever really go out into the day confident that what we do makes a difference? Sometimes at the end of the day, we may reflect and think, "Did I make a difference?" But do we go out into our day with the intention that we ARE going to make a difference?
I challenge you today - go out with the attitude that you ARE making a difference.
When I left my hotel room yesterday, I took a picture of myself, sent it to some friends, and said, "Today, I am going out to represent Jesus." It is interesting how different I felt all day by stating that intention to myself and then sharing that intention with others.
What if you took a picture of yourself today, looked at yourself in the mirror, and said, "Today, I am going to make a difference in someone's life." I am positive that it WILL change the outcome of your day...and someone else's.
NOTE: I would love to send you The Five Minute Journal if you don't have one. It has been so impactful to me! See below!
If you would like a copy of any of the devotionals or books I reference, please email me (button below); I would be happy to send you one. Please reference the title of the post/devotional to ensure I send you the correct devotional/author. See my mission in the "About Me" link.
Thanks for sharing Kelly. I love your idea , to take a photo of ourselves and intentionally make the decision to make a difference in someones life. It would even be fun to take that photo and journal how I intentionally served, and responded to the Lord's voice, then add a testimony of the outcome.
I write down how I will serve others the night before which gives me a plan, then I also "listen" for his voice throughout the day and night. I also am still before the Lord every morning before I do anything else. One of my goals is to be still before him more than once a day.
I encourage anyone who is moved by Kelly's…
